Video Univerzuil (in Dutch)

The first Univerzuilen were invented and produced more than twenty years ago. The reason was a request from a bank to find a solution for the fact that visitors regularly forgot to return their passes when leaving. The manufacturers of the access control systems could not provide a solution corresponding to the client's requirements, so Automatic Signal started work in its own workshop. The result was a sleek column with a swallowing mechanism that not only collects the badge, but also checks its validity. If the pass is invalid, it is not collected and the exit does not open.

In the course of twenty years, hundreds have been installed by Automatic Signal and other installers. One of the big advantages is that the column can be used in combination with almost all access control systems.
